We are all aware of megalithic sites such as Teotihuacan the city of the gods as it’s aptly named along with other world famous locations but let’s focus on the lesser known curiosities of the very little known about ancient world.

Below is a surviving vintage photo of what is referred to as the great monolith of Coatlinchan which when this photo was taken lay in the quarries of Teotihuacan before its unfortunate removal and eventual transportation to Mexico City. This source of information comes from (Robert F. Heizer and Howell Williams,Contributions of the University of California Archaeological Research Facility, 1965) The Coatlinchan megalithic curiosity wasn’t the only thing moved because countless other unfinished wonders that once lie scattered around the city of the gods were also removed for reasons unclear but are without doubt suggestive of the arrival and seemingly sudden departure of an extremely technologically advanced civilisation not recorded within our trusty history books.

Here’s something crucial to remember, that construction did resume in and around this incredible site but the building become much more crude in form and style which clearly suggests that the new builders or inhabitants built on top and around the prior pitch perfect megalithic work which already existed, they obviously didn’t possess the advanced tech their predecessors used,I guess we could say the new arrivals simply recycled the megalithic work which greeted them, who were these megalithic builders we have yet to fully identify.?
